ALL IN: WellBeing First for Healthcare Campaign Awards $500K to Healthcare Organizations to Support Healthcare Workforce Well-being Programs
Los Angeles — The ALL IN campaign is pleased to announce the inaugural recipients of its ALL IN Fund, with a total of $500,000 in grants awarded to four healthcare organizations across the country to support mental health and well-being programs for their workforces.
“This funding reflects ALL IN’s commitment to supporting the well-being of healthcare workers as they face burnout and mental health challenges that have been amplified throughout the COVID-19 pandemic,” said J. Corey Feist, co-founder of ALL IN and the Dr. Lorna Breen Heroes’ Foundation. “These awards will provide immediate financial resources for healthcare organizations to scale impactful mental health and wellness solutions to provide the level of care and support that the health workforce needs and deserves.”
In addition to funding, the recipients of the ALL IN Fund grant will also receive exclusive access to toolkits, resources, webinars and peer-to-peer support networks.
“We are investing in wellness change leaders who recognize that building community and sources of replenishment for our overtaxed healthcare workers is an absolute must,” said Michelle A. Williams, Dean of the Faculty, Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, co-founder of #FirstRespondersFirst, which in partnership with the Dr. Lorna Breen Heroes’ Foundation created the ALL IN campaign to boost the well-being of healthcare workers by transforming the system from the ground up. “Our call-to-action is working. Public and private entities are embracing our vision for a more holistic healthcare system that is responsive to the mental health and well-being of its frontline workers. These diverse grant recipients signal exciting and tangible progress. At a systemic level, we are innovating with creative, targeted solutions that value and nourish our healthcare workers.”
About the ALL IN Fund recipients:
- Northwestern Medicine – Scholars of Wellness
The grant will support the health system’s Scholars of Wellness program that is designed to provide its front-line physicians and advanced practice providers with the knowledge and skills needed to serve as wellness change leaders and address the systemic drivers of burnout in their local clinical work environments.
- The Upstate Foundation – Community Building @ Upstate
The grant will support and enhance the Upstate Foundation’s Community Building at Upstate program, which aims to build a stronger sense of community and improve the wellbeing of healthcare practitioners through peer support groups at Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, N.Y.
- Philippine Nurses Association of America (PNAA) and its Foundation (PNAAF) and the University of Texas Cizik School of Nursing (UTCSON) – “Kabalikat” Emotional Wellness Program
The grant will help enhance the culturally responsive intervention program that reaches Filipino American nurses with peer-to-peer support led by trained facilitators who are registered nurses and PNAA chapter leaders with the expansion of the program to other PNAA chapters across the country.
- Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences (RBHS) – Wellbeing Peer Support Programs
The grant will expand its physician peer support programs to support additional health professionals and students in a multi-professional healthcare academic environment.
This allotment of $500K represents the first round of funding in the ALL IN Fund grant program. By the end of the year, ALL IN is committed to giving a total of $1M to support the expansion or launch of well-being programs in healthcare systems across the country.
Established in November 2021, the ALL IN Fund is supported by #FirstRespondersFirst and the Johnson & Johnson Foundation.
